I’m Cassie Rosa. I was born and raised here in Bozeman, MT. I have been playing volleyball for 13 years. Other than my very first club season, I have always been a Setter. I played all through high school, of which, I played on the Bozeman Hawk Varsity team my Junior and Senior seasons. I have 3 younger sisters who have all played volleyball for different periods of time which really kick-started my coaching career. This will be my third season coaching a team as the head coach. I work as a full-time Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway licensed in both Montana and Utah. When I'm not working or playing/coaching volleyball I spend my winters on the mountain skiing Big Sky, and in the summer boating at Hauser Lake in Helena.

My name is Taylor Noyes from Townsend, MT. I started playing volleyball when I was in 5th grade and played setter through my senior year. After high school and choosing not to pursue volleyball at the collegiate level, I found myself wanting to stay involved in the sport. I have coached for about 3 years with various club teams. Clara Fox

Clara Fox

My name is Clara Fox, I am on the track and field team at Montana State University and majoring in pre-nursing! I have been playing volleyball since I could remember but I started club volleyball in 7th grade. I played all throughout middle school and throughout school at Bozeman High and in my time playing for BigSky I played 4 years of USAV. In addition to playing volleyball for BigSky, I have been helping coach camps, private lessons, practices, skills, and anything I can help with since high school. I also helped coach the 14-3 team this last spring and had an absolute blast helping the girls improve and enjoy the game of volleyball. Even though I didn’t continue playing volleyball in college, I love being in the gym playing and helping others improve their game. I am looking forward to coaching whenever I can this spring with my busy track schedule. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Britney May

Britney May

My name is Britney May and I am so excited to be coaching after taking a few years off! I started playing volleyball when I was 12 and was taught by some of the best coaches in the state. I’ve coached with Big Sky and I also coach for Sacagawea Middle School in the fall. While I love the fast pace of high school volleyball, I will always have a soft spot for my Littles. My favorite part of coaching is helping kiddos build a strong foundation in fundamentals. Our motto this year is “fundamentals are our friends!” My personal life is pretty busy. I work at Bozeman Health on our Psychiatric Emergency Services Unit which is attached to the ER. I’m also in grad school at University of Montana (online) for Clinical Social Work. In my free time I do the normal Bozeman activities but finding new hikes is my favorite.
Shannon Lundgren

Shannon Lundgren

Assistant Director/17 USAV

My name is Shannon Kemper Lundgren and I graduated from Bozeman High School and played for Montana State University. I have had the opportunity to have play every position on the volleyball court as a Setter/Right Side/Middle Blocker in high school followed by 2 years as a setter and 3 years as an outside hitter for Montana State. This diversity has helped me understand many aspects of the game from both the offensive & defensive side. I graduated from Montana State in 2000 with a double major in Business Marketing/Management. Immediately upon graduation, I co-founded a kitchen design company which I still run today. I also coached for 2 years at Bozeman High School and helped start the Mountain One Volleyball Club which I was the director of and coached for 2 years before taking time off from coaching to run my kitchen design business and raise a family. I have been a coach with Big Sky Volleyball for 6 years coaching girls ages 12U to 17 USAV. I believe in "playing with intention" and having a strong grasp of fundamentals at every level. Big Sky has secured it's place in the region as a strong successful club, our athletes are committed and come from all over the state to play together and compete! It is a program I am very proud to be a part of and have personally watched my own daughters excel as a result of being involved with Big Sky Volleyball. I have been married to my husband Randall for 22 years and we have 2 daughters Cadence (16) Regan (13)

My name is Macey. I am a cell biology and neuroscience major at Montana State University. I am an EMT and a wildland firefighter with the US Forest Service, for some reason I force myself to sleep in a tent in the dirt and smoke all summer long! I have played volleyball pretty much my whole life. I grew up in Boise, Idaho and moved to Island Park, Idaho before moving here to Bozeman. I played club volleyball for Idaho Crush for many years. I ultimately decided to focus on academics in college rather than pursuing volleyball in college. However, I can’t stay away from volleyball so I decided to coach. I absolutely love coaching and truly believe a coach makes or breaks your love for your sport. I strive to make volleyball a positive experience for all of my players while still competing at a high level. I hope to pass my love for this sport to my girls!

Throughout my experiences, I learned volleyball is more than just a sport. I want to help carry on my experiences with the sport by creating a healthy and competitive environment for the girls. I am a sophomore at Montana State University. I am studying to get my bachelors of the fine arts in film, as well as minors in writing and gender studies. I hope to work on bigger, Hollywood movie sets after I graduate college as a script supervisor or screenplay writer. I am heavily looking forward to creating a connection with each girl that is unique to them. I can not wait to get to know all of them and why they play the sport of volleyball. Please feel free to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns.

My name is Gretta Lawson and I am freshman at Montana State University. This is my very first season coaching for Big Sky Volleyball Club and I’m super excited to meet all of you and get on the court! I have played 6 years of club volleyball and 4 years varsity in High School. I played for Epic VBC and WAVE VBC in San Diego, CA (My dad was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego). Then my senior year my family moved to Spokane, WA where I played for Renovators VBC and graduated high school from Joel E Ferris. With all my club experience I have attended most national qualifiers (AAU, SCVA, Big South, PNQ) and Junior Nationals (GJNC). My last year of club (2022) my team took second place in open division at the Las Vegas Classic and played in the open division at Junior Nationals where we finished top 30. While playing at WAVE VBC I helped coach a 14’s team with my assistant coach. I was on track to play college volleyball and was committed to the University of Alaska, Anchorage. It was not the right decision for me at the time which is how I ended up at Montana State! With this all being said I have a lot of experience of different coaching styles, the recruiting process (I’m always around to help if you have questions!), and different club atmospheres. I love the game and I can’t wait to pass on my knowledge! Let’s have some fun!! In my free time I love to hang out with friends, ski, hike, camp, and explore Montana!
Casey Wolfe

12-1

Originally from Colorado Springs, CO, I landed in Bozeman in 2016 to study at Montana State University. I have been playing and loving the sport of volleyball since 6th grade in local club and school teams. While I primarily played libero/ds and setter, volleyball allowed me to not only develop as an athlete, but as a leader and teammate. Previously, I have had the amazing opportunity to coach 12’s at Big Sky and assistant coach at Bozeman High School. During my undergrad years at MSU I majored in Business-Marketing and then received my Master’s in Adult and Higher Education. Professionally, I work with Leadership Montana as their Member Experience Director. When I am not busy with work or coaching, I volunteer for my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, with four different chapters, attend spin class, hang out with my dogs Willie & Reba, fulfill my main love language of quality time with my friends and loved ones, or try to be an outdoorsy person.

After moving from Missoula, Montana to San Luis Obispo, California, I began playing volleyball for the SLO JRS 14 USAV team (now the 805 Elite) in 4th grade. I was a four year Varsity starter and Team Captain, and played on Club teams that were ranked among the top 10 in the country. I went through the recruiting process with a few schools (D1 & NAIA), and ended up signing with the Master's University in Santa Clarita, California as a DS/Setter. Playing college ball provided opportunities for me to find my true passion, using the avenue of competitive volleyball to mentor young girls and help them realize their true potential both on and off the court. In 2003 I graduated with honors with Bachelor's of Science in both Accounting and Finance and a minor in Biblical Exposition. I then made my way back to Montana to begin my career in Accounting and I coached for various programs in Bozeman. In 2015 I enrolled my two remarkable children in Heritage Christian School and began assistant coaching in the volleyball program. I then became the head Varsity Volleyball Coach in 2017. Around then my career path took a turn and I am now a secondary teacher at HCS, teaching Accounting, Math, and Bible. I have also found a home at Big Sky Volleyball and am loving every minute. All in all, I have been coaching for the better part of 20 years. I love the game of volleyball, but coaching the girls is my passion. I am not only committed to developing these young women into elite volleyball players, I am committed to caring for their hearts as they maneuver the teen years.
